Gallery Lumière, located in Seoul, South Korea, is a gallery which specializes in photography. In 2004, Gallery Lumière made its first step as the only gallery in South Korea which adopted the system of professional photography galleries in Manhattan, NY. Gallery Lumière stands distinguished not only as one of the precedent fine art photography galleries in Asian Pacific region but also as a commercial art gallery, which organizes and curates its own independent shows based on extensive resources. We provide information of the masterpiece and the contemporary photography to South Korea and Asia Pacific region. The gallery's inventory is wide and solid enough to meet the expectation of collectors who had been looking for the place to view and purchase the works of both regionally and internationally recognized artists. These extensive inventories have been obtained through research and contact with major art galleries around the world and by participating in art fairs in the United States and Europe.

In 2006, Gallery Lumière established the first Korean photography award, LIPA (Lumière International Photography Award) which aims to sponsor and support the winner with an international high standard budget, in the form of a combined provision of scholarship and fellowship. LIPA (Lumière International Photography Award) aims to promote the winning artist, who has chosen through a strict selection process, to successfully enter the international art scene and to establish oneself as a globally recognized artist in the field of international photography.

Along with the growth of the international art market, Gallery Lumière expanded its gallery space, in 2007 which includes a contemporary art section and a specialized art funding section. The gallery also offers art consultation services for its clients, seminars on photography and its market, and docents to the visitors providing information on exhibiting artists and their works. In Gallery Lumière Seoul, the public will get a chance to encounter a collection of works by master photographers and internationally established contemporary artists, and also have an opportunity to expand one's knowledge on the understanding of photography as fine art.
